The Critics Choice Awards 2021 – Vencedores

Na madrugada do último fim-de-semana (dia 8 de março de 2021), decorreram a 26ª edição dos Critics’ Choice Awards (26th Critics’ Choice Awards), que sucederam os prémios dos Globos de Ouro. Esta cerimónia teve como anfitrião o ator Taye Diggs (que executa esta apresentação pela terceira vez consecutiva).

Estando a cerca de um mês do auge das premiações do mundo do cinema (Óscares), é de se esperar que durante esta época, existam diversos eventos de premiações, não só dedicadas às longas e curtas-metragens que passaram nas salas do cinema em 2020 e inícios de 2021, mas também às séries que passaram nas salas de nossas casas.

O filme Mank destacava-se como filme com mais nomeações nas diferentes categorias. No entanto, a nível de cinema, Nomadland era o grande favorito, assim como The Crown a nível de séries. Partilhamos convosco abaixo a lista dos vencedores, para conferirem se corresponde às vossas expectativas.

Durante esta cerimónia, verificou-se que o grande vencedor da noite foi o canal de streaming Netflix (também possuía o maior número de nomeados), que arrecadou um total de 14 prémios nas diferentes categorias, arrasando por completo a concorrência.

Em relação aos vencedores, também é possível verificar que os prémios foram bastante diversificados, contudo na secção de cinema, Nomadland é o grande vencedor, arrecadando 4 estatuetas (sendo todas a nível técnico, apenas não conseguiu conquistar os prémios de interpretação), sendo seguido de perto por Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, que conquistou 3 prémios, sendo um deles o prémio póstumo de melhor ator para Chadwick Boseman. Destaca-se também o empate, na categoria de melhor edição, entre os filmes The Trial of the Chicago 7 e Sound of Metal.

A nível da televisão, e aqui estamos a falar das séries, o grande vencedor da noite foi a série The Crown, vencendo 4 categorias (melhor série de drama, e 3 melhores interpretações: Ator, Atriz e Atriz Secundária), também Ted Lasso (com 3 estatuetas) e The Queen’s Gambit (com 2 estatuetas) venceram os prémios de melhor série na sua categoria, e prémios de interpretação. Tal como, na área do cinema, destaca-se também o empate na área da televisão, na categoria de melhor especial de comédia, entre Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill e Michelle Buteau: Welcome to Buteaupia.
